Do I Need to Do Anything?

Wall Decorations

When we come out for the initial treatment, ensure everything is removed from the walls.

This does not include couches, beds, or other large furniture. This applies to upstairs and downstairs as we inspect and spot-treat every room.

Cars

If you want your garage treated, make sure to move the cars out of the garage so that we can properly treat it.

Gates

Please ensure that the gates are unlocked for the day of a pest control treatment so that our technicians can also treat the backyard.

What Should I Do With My Pets?

Our treatments are pet-friendly; however, we believe in erring on the side of caution. Prior to treatment, we do request that you keep your pets in an area where we won’t be treating.

However, if we will be treating everywhere, we suggest allowing your pets outside while we treat inside, then bring them in so we can complete the outside.

How Can I Best Prevent Pests?

The best way to prevent pests from invading your space in the first place is by maintaining proper cleanliness. Here are some things you can do to help with prevention:

Clearing the Sink of Dirty Dishes and Food Particles

Clearing the sink of dirty dishes is a crucial step in preventing pests from infiltrating your kitchen.

Pests like ants, roaches, and rodents are attracted to food residue and crumbs left on plates and utensils.

By promptly washing and stowing away dirty dishes, you eliminate a potential food source, discouraging these unwanted visitors from taking up residence in your home.

Additionally, stagnant water in dirty dishes can serve as a breeding ground for insects like fruit flies, further emphasizing the importance of keeping the sink clean.

This simple yet effective practice promotes a hygienic kitchen environment.

It acts as a proactive measure in pest control, ensuring that your home remains a welcoming space for you and not for uninvited critters.

Sweeping and Vacuuming Regularly

Regular sweeping and vacuuming are fundamental tasks in maintaining a pest-free home environment.

These simple yet effective practices help eliminate food crumbs, debris, and even small food particles that may have escaped notice.

Removing these potential food sources significantly reduces the attraction for pests like ants, roaches, and rodents.

Furthermore, sweeping and vacuuming also target another crucial aspect of pest prevention – removing hiding spots. Pests often seek refuge in corners, under furniture, and hard-to-reach areas, making them difficult to spot.

You disrupt these hiding places by consistently sweeping and vacuuming, making your home less appealing to pests.

This proactive approach is a cornerstone of effective pest control, ensuring your living space remains clean, safe, and free from unwelcome intruders.

Wiping Down Counters and Surfaces

Wiping counters and surfaces is an essential practice in maintaining a pest-free home.

This simple yet powerful action removes food residue, spills, and crumbs that can attract pests like ants, flies, and cockroaches.

It also eliminates scent trails left by foraging insects, disrupting their ability to communicate and navigate.

Additionally, regular cleaning prevents the buildup of sticky substances and grease, which are magnets for pests.

Keeping counters and surfaces clean and dry creates an inhospitable environment for pests, discouraging them from taking up residence in your home.

This proactive measure is a cornerstone of effective pest control and contributes to a clean and hygienic living space for you and your family.

Keeping Microwaves and Ovens Clean

Cleaning microwaves and ovens is a crucial step in maintaining a pest-free kitchen.

Food residue, crumbs, and spills that accumulate in these appliances can become a potential feast for pests like ants, roaches, and even rodents.

Regular cleaning removes these enticing food sources and eliminates the odors that can attract pests from a distance.

Neglected crumbs and spills can become burnt on debris, making them even more attractive to pests.

A dirty microwave or oven can also harbor bacteria and fungi, which can further draw in pests.

Keeping these appliances clean and free from food residue creates an inhospitable environment for pests, ensuring your kitchen remains a safe and hygienic space for meal preparation.

This proactive approach is essential to effective pest prevention in the heart of your home.

Eliminating Clutter Where Pests Could Hide

Eliminating clutter is a fundamental practice in maintaining a pest-free living space.

Piles of newspapers, stacks of boxes, and unused items provide ideal hiding spots for pests like rodents, spiders, and insects.

Clutter also makes it more challenging to detect pest activity, allowing infestations to go unnoticed until they become more serious.

By decluttering regularly, you remove potential hiding places and disrupt the environments in which pests thrive.

Additionally, clutter can often collect dust, food particles, and moisture, which are all attractive to pests.

Keeping your living space organized and clutter-free creates a less appealing environment for pests, reducing the likelihood of infestations.

This proactive measure supports effective pest control and contributes to a cleaner, healthier, and more pleasant living environment for you and your family.
